Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now? What was the most challenging part of reducing refined sugar, and how did you overcome it?

I've gotten used to not eating as much candy/sugary stuff as it just doesn't hit the same, I guess? I feel less sluggish now that I don't eat as much sugar/candy in general. The most challenging was not trying to buy candy, as when I tasted it once, I would always want more, but now I just don't eat a bite, as if I did, I would want some then.

It felt good going outside for a walk with friends, even if it has gotten cold, it's better going outside and taking in the views than being stuck inside looping around for exercise and such.

its been going well, taking 5 minute showers isn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be. Sometimes I'm even happier when I get out of the shower faster knowing I saved water and time.

Its going well, I've been more conscious of my actions knowing my ecochallenge choices. Like in the shower I realize how much extra water is being used.

My eco challenge has been going well. Ive really enjoyed spending time outside walking around. I really like how it provided a break from my day to day tasks and schedule. My friends and i hiked up the bluffs that was a new and exciting thing to do and I was happy to bring my friends along. It was really interesting how after my walks i felt "resetted" and more motivated.

I think my Ecochallenge is going just fine, though its hard to not shower for more than 5 minutes after a swim practice, I think its been going well. Im proud of myself for doing this challenge. there is so much water to be saved by spending less time in the shower

My Eco Challenge has been a little challenging being at college and living on campus. With the help of my parents i’ve been able to meal plan a few times a week. It’s been nice as i’ve thrown away less trash than I normally would eating at the union. I am hopeful that i’ll continue doing this in the future.

What did you notice about your habits or routines when limiting your showers to five minutes? What changes—if any—do you think you’ll continue long-term?

its been hard, I am apart of the lacrosse swim team and we have to shower after every practice. its cold once you get out of the water and its hard spending less than 5 minutes in the shower after a hard practice. Though its not terrible

I think my ecochallenge is going good - everytime I brush my teeth in the morning and at night I do it without running water to save water from just running while not using it. - It took a bit to get used to at first as I usually did use more water/left it running, but now it's just become natural.
