  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy
How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

Electricity is generated through power lines that feed into our homes. Overusing electricity can lead to blackouts along with other problems that harm other humans and animal habitats. Why should animals have to live in 100 degree weather when we are sitting in a cool 65?

We are pretty close to 10,000 points. If we all check in today, we just might make it.

Last day of the challenge, I have been eating less meat but then I get sugar cravings more often than usual, so I'll have to find a balance here. Biking is still fun and a good way to get around town when I have the time. I didn't visit a local farm like I wanted to during the challenge but I'm sure I will get out there the next time I want chicken. Overall I think some of the changes I made will stick like conserving water where I can and ordering less stuff online and trying to find it on either marketplace or at thrift stores.

I repaired and repurposed an old pair of sweats into shorts and a string tote bag. The sweats were too short but are super comfy as shorts, and some of the legs made a small bag, and the rest went for cleaning rags.

I love this!!! I have used old clothing for cleaning rags for quite some time but never thought about the bag option.

There are over 1800 people participating, and each and every one has a story about how these little changes are making a difference. Just think if 1800 people just saved one gallon of water a day for 30 days. That’s 54,000 gallons of water. That’s about 20 fire trucks worth of water. You all make a difference e,
