REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Abbey Clemens 11/09/2023 5:40 AMthis doesn’t really surprise me. i think i often have food that goes bad because i bought too much, especially bread and fruit. I would much rather use that money on practical things like bills and gas, or spend it in items that will last longer than food -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Compost Food WasteNew to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?
Abbey Clemens 11/07/2023 6:56 AMI feel like I have been generating a lot less trash since I have started composting. I also am more conscious of the food portions I take because I don’t want to have leftovers to throw away -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Abbey Clemens 11/07/2023 6:56 AMI think practicing gratitude has really
helped me focus on positive things in my life and helped me stay optimistic-
Danny Saslow 11/08/2023 8:23 AMPracticing gratuity leads for a calmer & more appreciative lifestyle. this helps me stay centered throughout the day.
