Erik Hammerquist 5/04/2024 4:39 PMThis week I focused on my energy usage. I decided to not use my heat in my place. Instead, I just wore more clothes when I was cold. During the colder wet spell this week, it was only slightly uncomfortable in the morning. I think this challenge made me realize that I could improve the seals around my doors and windows to retain more heat and also keep my place cooler when it becomes really hot in the summer. I think this will also help me save money in the long run and decrease my carbon footprint.-

Erik Hammerquist 4/19/2024 5:14 PMMy goal was to solely commute via bike to work and school. This is not super difficult as I live relatively close to both work and school, however it is still a challenge when it is more convenient to use my car, especially when needing to transport stuff or when the weather is bad. Luckily the weather was mostly fine this week. I went the whole week without driving my car once which I believe contributes to sustainable transportation practices. I also find it to be much more enjoyable than driving.-
