I had done better this past week with reducing screen time and I did not use one plastic bottle this last week.

Cutting down on plastic bottles and using a water bottle instead is a great way to reduce the use of plastic and the water from the tap actually has more minerals in it than bottled water!

I felt that when I went to go eat that lots of things that we eat on campus use raping or other sorts of packaging. So when I get my food or when I go shopping I look for things that don’t harm the envierment. Overall as a whole I was able to produce less wast and I was also get my screen time down and instead enjoy outdoor walks and see nature for its beauty.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Zero-Waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for using every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable (including the skins, tops, stalks, etc.) during your next meal prep?

I could add certain vegetables like carrots in a stew or putting more mushrooms in my pasta. I feel that my challenge has been going along very well.

a)how it was honestly challenging and new for you,

My challenge will be limiting my time on my TV during my down time between classes, I feel that it might be a bit difficult but I think I can do it.
    b) how you learned at least two things relevant to the action in this class,

I got to learn how recycling truly works.

I had also learned about how the water of many different lands can be misused by others.

Hey, Jackson. I like how you are taking the opportunity to limit screen time especially on your TV. I have the same problem during my downtime so it's nice to take a break and do good at the same time!
