I argree, I personally think that awareness is the most important thing. Then such things as build your own garden, participating in recycling programs, reusing resources, and the composting organic waste are realy beneficial to making our community more sustainable.

I live near a river that feeds into the Chesapeake Bay, and you can see the litter on the shores and the muck on the river bed has accumulated from years of negligent pollution

    Dylan Marco (101) 4/16/2024 5:15 AM
Before doing this eco challenge activity I would say this does describe me but now I am trying to do a better job of not taking my car.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

    Dylan Marco (101) 4/15/2024 6:20 AM
Personally I had a bad habit of using a cup that would only have one use. Then I realized the money I was spending for the cups so I switched to thee water bottle so all I have to do is clean the bottle.

This is awesome! This is also so nice because some days you are so unmotivated and need that motivation from your friends and family which can push you.
