Just by being myself. I'm not the type of person who thinks so much about what I wear. I like people because they're nice, not because of their fashion.

I thought that my community didn't accept certain plastics and glass bottles, but today I found out that they accept these now. I don't know since when, and my family has been taking glass bottles to a store that accepts them. LOL!

I would carry things out with my hands. A good practice to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags would be using a reusable bag when shopping to put my purchased items in. I carry it with me so that I am reminded to use it.

On April 30th, I drove for 3 hours and collected two separate mpg data points.

My ecochallenge is going well, the daily check ins have helped me exercise and be present more. I have also been extra determined to not use plastic straws since I made a commitment to reduce my contribution to plastic straw waste. The next area I want to improve is in having a longer and more consistent sleep schedule and also cut back more on...

I incorporate my friends into exercising with me. I say exercise but if the activity is something such as running, hiking, biking, or climbing, and it is something a person enjoys doing, then I don’t think it is viewed as ‘exercise’ and it instead seen as something they already enjoy and happens to also be good for them. But I have recently...

I focus on the experience of eating more rather than mindlessly chewing on something. When I eliminate distractions I am more present in what I am eating and how much.

My ecochallenge is going great! I’ve noticed that the act of returning to the challenges everyday has made me more mindful of myself and my relationship to the world around me. Even through something as simple as learning a new fact about food waste, or remembering a small commitment I made a week ago makes me more aware and environmentally...

I am enrolled in a community ecochallenge through my college class. I would’ve originally been enrolled into my professors group but unfortunately I was unable to. Fortunately I can join a community group and I have been able to work on my ecochallenge action items. I think the exercises are simple yet informative and the daily actions make me...

I sometimes use floss picks which have a lot of plastic for a one time use product. Instead I have been trying to use old fashioned floss string since you can get way more uses out of a roll of floss string rather than a bag of floss picks.
