Although my daily and long term challenges show up no points have accumulated. Very confused.

I have been remiss in posting. Upon completion of the eco challenge I look back on some of the daily and long term tasks and realize every little bit counts. I pride myself on being pretty eco minded. One thing I did change through the challenge but not until most of it was done was after learning about food choices. I have cut back a lot on my...

If you keep your yourself motivated and happy with yourself you will have a more positive outlook on the world. Although it may seem hard to keep a positive and optimistic view on the world it is essential for us to try so we can make a change.

I would like to be able to get more sleep. Something that I found that works for me is to have a schedule so I can balance work, school life and personal life.

I can incorporate the other “R’s” into my lifestyle by having two trash cans one for waste and one for recycling(cans and plastic bottles). Another thing that I can do is to stop using straws and instead using a metal reusable straw.

I think this is very accurate as I did not watch the sunrise in any of my days, but did watch the sunset at least twice a week. This for me felt to be a spiritual experience in which I being religious was able to thank God for what he was giving me in terms of life, and this beautiful earth I live on. I think for me it was also a way to say...

I think that because I started to understand nature around me and see more and take my time to take in nature I do feel as if I feel obligated to preserve and fight for it even more now. This is because I think I took what I had for granted and did not take my time to appreciate what I had around me, not understanding that without my voice this...

I experienced my neighborhood differently by taking my dog on walks to the nature trail and getting coffee in the morning before work then going and walking along the river. This was different as I found that this makes me appreciate the world around me in a way that I have lived in this city for 22 years and started to see things I have never...

I learned that accepted materials for recycling typically include paper, cardboard, certain types of plastic (usually marked with recycling symbols), glass, and metal (such as aluminum cans). These can often be dropped off at designated recycling centers or included in curbside pickup programs. Items that are commonly not recyclable include...

My energy consumption in 2023 was about 1800 kWh which is under per capita in the San Joaquin Valley which hovers closer to the 2000 kWh per year. To reduce this I can do a better job of turning off lights and even systems that I am not using, not just putting them into rest mode which still consumes energy.
