Going well, in the weeks continuing after starting the challenge, I have continued to meal plan and include it within my daily routine. it helps free up a lot of my time and keep me on a good track and mindset

My challenges have been going pretty well so far. Creating a weekly meal plan has significantly reduced the amount of food I throw away and has actually helped me save some money with my weekly grocery shopping. Also with the grocery shopping the reusable bag are really nice and are way bigger than the plastic bags at the store so I don't need to carry as many bags as before. The five minute showers have also been really nice. Even though it's not a huge change, I can notice a bit of extra time to relax before bed.

This challenge has been easy and hard at the same time. I have been really conscious of the many straws I've been using. but sometimes it's hard when many places give you one when you do not ask. I have been eating less animal products which is something that I have been wanting to do for a while so this was a good way to get going on that!

It’s going pretty well. My screen time is down 25% from last week. I’ve been doing more activities while leaving my phone at home.

By consistently turning off lights, electronics, and appliances when I'm not using them, I'm helping to save energy. This small action makes a big difference in reducing my environmental impact and living a more sustainable life. I have gotten into the habit of unplugging things such as TVs when not using them because we learned that they still use a little energy when they are plugged in but off. I now only turn on the lights when I need them, and have been using natural lighting to my advantage. Overall, it feels good and I’m saving money too so it’s a win win!

I have been trying to eat for fruits and veggies, take five minute showers, get more sleep, and reduce my sugar intake. When it comes to trying to eat more fruits and veggies, Whitney doesn’t always have the best options which can make it a little hard. Otherwise I feel a lot healthier than I normally am. Taking five minute showers has actually been going well, I have more time to be doing other things than wasting water for 15 minutes in the shower. When it comes to reducing my sugar intake I feel more energized and less gross. Sugar has always made me feel kind of sick or down after absorbing to much, it’s kinda cool to see the difference in your daily life activities.

I'm delving into the environmental implications of the landfill at 3240 Berlin Drive, La Crosse, WI, particularly its potential impact on groundwater quality. Utilizing the Groundwater Contamination Susceptibility Map of Wisconsin, I'm striving to inform community stakeholders about the importance of sustainable waste management practices for safeguarding our environment.

I am primarily trying to spend more time outside each day for my challenge, as well as shut down my laptop every day when I'm not using it and clean my apartment. On days that I can't get outside due to working full time and school, I have been trying to at least open a window so I can get the fresh air and hear the sounds from outside. To be honest, the hardest part of this has been remembering to shut down my laptop because I'm so used to just closing it. I haven't really had a chance to clean my apartment since last week, but I've been doing some small tidying here and there.
