I have mediated daily for the past 30 days, and it’s a shame that I have not checked in on this platform, however I am dedicated to submit my progress for the next couple of days. Mediating for me is like therapy, and in doing so allows me to slow down and take note of what is important to me.

Living with housemates in a home in Marina, unfortunatly it gets very cold during the winter time. Although this is the case we refuse to run the heater, it is extreamly expensive to warm our home due to its poor insalation. To reduce our energy usage we use space heaters which use a significant less amout of energy. Not only that we make sure...

Living in Merced Ca the majority of my life, I am very familary with using the sun as a way to warm/cool our home. During the summer time it can get up to 100+ degrees. Yet, it is easy to keep your house cool without running the ac or heater simply by opening and closing your windows at the right time. Its coolest in the morning so its...

I talked to my dad about the usage of pesticides on the almonds we farm in the Central Valley. I found that the advantages of becoming interconnected within the food process down to the farming industry is having a newfound sense of pride in what you eat. Ultimately knowing where your food is sourced from grants you a new dynamic of the meals...

My environmental health, community health, and personal health intersects mainly in my workforce, and at school (where I spend the majority of my time). I notice that environmental health is ruled where there a lot of people/animals, as well as community. My own personal health can be dictated if I choose to protect myself among those areas.

So far, I am not pleased with how much own eco challenge is going, manly because I forgot to document my progress daily. However, even though I only have a week left to check in, I am dedicated to finish off strong and check in with myself and this platform for a generous amount of time.

By identifying the reduction of waste through utilizing the reusable mug, I feel more sustainable in my personal actions. Although, it seems to be minimal, I know that it'll help by encouraging my roommates to also follow suit to reduce our overall daily waste.

I found that I felt more productive and open to learning about the overall health of the planet as I aid myself in self-healing processes.

My favorite thing to do each day is enjoying the sunrise and the sunset (the sunset just a bit more, lol). It is a great way to start and end the day -- I really love to look at the sky (especially at the beach).

Although it is getting colder now, I'm opening my blinds to let the sun in and layering up my clothes to get warm. :)
